Reviews
This is a wonderful book containing the early issues of the fantastic four. This is pure early sixties fun and we get the great art of jack Kirby and the great writing and such from Stan lee as well. These early issues are the foundation of the new marvel landscape as well. They are of their time and look even better here than they did on the cheap paper comic books used back in the day. They are restored and look marvelous. They re-introduce the submariner here and many early villains here. Most of the space monster stories are a hold over from the previous few years before this but they are very fun to read. However the skrulls are not minor villains in the marvel universe and they start in the early days too.. The thing is more lumpy here and he will change over the next year and a half to look like we know him today. which is a good thing actually. he was still mutating. I actually have one of these that came out way back in the 80's. But it still looks great! they were 29.99 back then!
